JUST A MOMENT: ROOTED
We often notice the tree.
Its branches.
Its leaves.
Its blossoms.
Its shade.
But we rarely see what makes all of that possible—the roots.
They’re down there, quietly doing their work. Holding on. Reaching deeper. Finding nourishment. Giving the tree the strength to keep growing.
Maybe we’re more like trees than we realize.
There are roots in each of us, too.
People who shaped us.
Places that grounded us.
Experiences that strengthened us.
And even some difficult seasons that forced our roots to grow deeper.
Not everything that sustains us is visible.
So just a moment today, take a look at your roots.
Remember where—and perhaps more importantly, who—helped make you the person you are.
And remember this:
Strong roots don’t keep us from growing. They give us the courage to.
So, if you could pause today, right now for JUST A MOMENT. . . and thank one person, one place, or one experience for helping root you in who you’ve become~~what, who would you choose?
