JUST A MOMENT: STEPS
It may sound like a riddle, but it might be one of the most important questions we ever ask ourselves:
Which steps matter most?
The steps we’ve taken?
The ones we’re thinking about taking?
The ones we never took?
Or the ones we still regret?
The truth is, a step by itself means very little. It’s just movement. What gives a step its power is the meaning we attach to it.
A step toward forgiveness.
A step toward healing.
A step toward a dream.
A step toward someone who needs us.
Looking back, we often assign meaning to steps we wish we’d taken sooner. Looking ahead, we sometimes hesitate because we’re not sure where a step will lead.
But life rarely unfolds all at once. It unfolds one step at a time.
So perhaps the question isn’t which step was most important.
Perhaps the question is:
What meaning will you give your next one?
THE NEXT STEP
