JUST A MOMENT: CLOSET THOUGHTS
We all have closets.
Not the ones filled with clothes, old shoes, and things we keep meaning to get rid of.
I mean the closets inside us.
The places where we hide our fears, our regrets, our mistakes, our embarrassments—and the pieces of ourselves we hope nobody ever discovers.
We close the door.
We turn the key.
And sometimes we become so good at hiding those things that we forget what’s even in there.
But maybe our closets aren’t nearly as frightening as we think.
Maybe what we’ve been hiding doesn’t need judgment.
Maybe it needs light.
Maybe it needs grace.
Maybe it simply needs someone—including ourselves—to finally open the door and say,
“It’s okay. I know what’s in here. And I’m still here.”
Because sometimes the greatest freedom doesn’t come from cleaning out the closet.
It comes from no longer being afraid to open it.
Just a moment…
What door inside you might be ready for a little light?
